Information on WAMS

 

The World Academy of Mining Sciences was established on the basis of the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences and is its legal successor

 

On June 20, 2018, the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences (EAMS) was established in Astana, Kazakhstan within the framework of the world Mining Congress, with the active support of the Ministry of investment and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The place of registration and the headquarters of the Academy adopted Astana.

The founders were the Academy of Mining Sciences of Russia, the national Academy of Mining Sciences of Kazakhstan, scientific organizations of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Belarus.    

 As observers, with the subsequent possible entry into the EAMS, were: Academy of Mining Sciences of Ukraine, representatives of the mining scientific community of Bulgaria, Austria, Poland, Turkey, Sweden, Germany, Mongolia. 

In the founding meeting was attended by Minister for investment and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasymbek Zh. M., the leaders of the Republican Association of mining and metallurgical enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan, branch of mining and metallurgical trade Union “Busprotocol” and a number of Directors of institutes and rectors of Universities in Mountain countries-founders of the Academy.  As honored guests took part: M. Sala (Poland) – President of the world mining Congress, J. Skiba (Poland) – Secretary General of the world mining Congress, Soskovets O. N. (Russia) – Chairman of the coordination Council of the Eurasian Business Council, Y. Kretchmann (Germany) – President of the Technical higher school. G. Agricola, President of the world Association of mining professors.

The main areas of work  are fixed:

• Promoting the development of the mining complex of the founding countries of the Academy;

• Assistance in the formation of an effective system for regulating industry development in countries;

• Assistance in the formation of scientific and innovative potential for technological modernization of the mining industry;

• Promoting the improvement of the process of training and retraining of senior scientific personnel and specialists for the mining and industrial complex of the founding countries of the Academy.

WAMS has state registration and operates in accordance with the Charter. We invite you and your colleagues to cooperate.
